Welcome to my life...

Three days a week, I am a social worker/teacher based out of Nabwigulu Primary School. Nabwigulu is the school where MCC has the biggest number of orphans and vulnerable children. For the teaching part of my job, I teach English. The social work part of my job means making sure that the MCC-supported students are attending class, that they are being treated well by their guardians, and that they feel supported in their studies and in their lives.

The other two days a week, I visit other schools in the area where MCC is supporting students, as well as visiting the homes and families of these students to support them as they care for vulnerable children. I love it!

In this picture, I am wearing an African dress called a kitenge.
